Here We Grow!
Old Lab Gets Much Needed Expansion
If you are a patient returning to use one of various diagnostic laboratory services you will be pleasantly surprised to find a newer, renovated and expanded laboratory. We at South Bay Family Medical Group are happy to announce that the reconstruction and expansion efforts made to our existing diagnostic lab are finally complete. Based on the needs of our growing patient population and the strong commitment of our leadership; laboratory services, which are located on the second floor of the medical facility, is now more capable than ever. The renovated lab is more expansive and flexible, covering extra square footage in order to facilitate a larger waiting area; patients no longer have to stand or wait outside. The new lab provides space for a separate drawing and diagnostic room. Patients are able to take advantage of the added space and privacy. The renovation will ensure that patients receive the most comprehensive services available.
"In the past, the laboratory was too small; the waiting room was constantly full. We are very proud of our ability to expand our space and provide our staff and patients with the necessary infrastructure needed to meet the demand of our growing community" stated Scott Tong, M.D., Director of Laboratory Services at South Bay Family Medical Group.
The laboratory is located on the second floor of the South Bay Family Medical Group facility at 3701 Skypark Dr. in Torrance, California. The lab is now offering extended hours from 7:00 a.m. to 5:30 p.m.
