A Message to our Families
In the Event of an Acute Pediatric Illness:

We are pleased to announce that South Bay Family Medical Group in affiliation with Torrance Memorial Medical Center can now make available to our patients a group of Pediatric specialists who will care for your child, should they need to be admitted to Torrance Memorial Medical Center.

These specially trained Pediatricians only provide consultative services to children seen in the emergency department or admitted to Torrance Memorial, as well as Miller Children's Hospital in Long Beach.

What does this mean to you?

• If we recommend or you feel your child should be evaluated in the Emergency Department, we ask that you go to Torrance Memorial Medical Center at 3330 Lomita Blvd., in Torrance. These specially trained pediatricians (Drs. Maggi, Jenson and Han) from Miller Children's Hospital are available "on call" to Torrance Memorial.
   
• If we feel your child requires direct hospital admission, we may recommend and arrange for the admission by either Dr. Jenson, Dr. Han or Dr. Maggi at Torrance Memorial.
   
• After your child is discharged from the hospital, we will continue to provide follow-up care in our office, but we will be in consultation with Drs. Maggi, Jenson and Han.

The field of medicine grows continually more complex and sophisticated. We feel that having the back-up support of pediatricians trained in hospital and critical care medicine is an excellent addition to our practice.
