Our pediatrics units are committed to the highest level of quality care for children and adolescents. We understand that any hospitalization may be stressful for the family.  It is with this in mind that our staff will do their best to ensure your child's comfort and safety, as well as provide a pleasant experience for your family.

Car Seat Loaner Program: We have an infant and toddler car seat loaner program available. Car seats are rented for one month for a nominal charge.

Kids Care Station: Little Company of Mary Hospital is pleased to offer Kid's Care Station-a child care program designed to provide working parents with a comfortable solution for their mildly ill children. Located at the Little Company of Mary Outpatient Center – Beach Cities in Redondo Beach, Kid's Care Station has a caring, compassionate staff experienced in handling illness and infection control issues.

• How Do I Enroll My Child?

Kid's Care Station accepts children between the ages of six weeks and 12 years with minor illnesses such as colds, ear infections, vomiting or diarrhea. Hours of operation are Monday through Friday, 6:30 a.m. to 6:30 p.m., excluding major holidays. The cost of the program is $6.00 per hour ($3.00 for LCM Employees), with a four-hour minimum. Cash, checks and major credit cards are accepted for payment. An advance telephone reservation is required and may be made by calling (310) 937-1974 on the night before the child is to attend Kid's Care Station. Parents are requested to pre-register their children for the Kid's Care Station and are also required to bring proof of their child's immunizations.

• What Happens Once My Child Arrives?

Upon arrival at the Kid's Care Station, the child will receive an admission assessment from a Registered Nurse. At this time, any medications the child is taking are discussed with the parent and labeled, and the child is assigned an identification wristband. The Kid's Care Station staff makes every effort to have the admitting process completed within 15 minutes, so parents can be off to work quickly with the assurance that their child is in very capable hands.

• What Else Do I Need To Do?

Parents are encouraged to bring familiar toys and personal belongings for their child's comfort. Diapers and bottles are required for infants. Parents may also wish to bring food for the child; however, breakfast and lunch are available for an extra charge.

Partners For Healthy Kids: A collaboration of Little Company of Mary and the community, this program brings its "doctor's office on wheels,"-a 36-foot, state-of-the-art mobile pediatric van-to local elementary schools and community sites to provide free medical care to children in need.
