| New Name for Hospital Foundations |

Effective January 1, 2002, Little Company of Mary Hospital Foundation and San Pedro Peninsula Hospital Foundation combined forces under their new name, �Little Company of Mary Community Health Foundation�. Programs supported by both former foundations will continue as before, but with the added benefit of a combined staff sharing resources and efficiencies of scale.
�By combining the operations of our two foundations, we are better able to avoid duplication of effort and to enhance our efforts to serve the hospitals and our donors,� said Peggy Lanigan, Director of Development, Little Company of Mary Community Health Foundation. (PEG and BLAIR: Do we want to quote you or Blair here?) �We�re also able to simplify our grant application process as one entity. Of course, people still will be able to designate any donation to the program or facility of their choice by indicating their preferences at the time they make a donation.�
The Little Company of Mary Community Health Foundation will have a board of trustees made up of continuing trustees from both LCMH and SPPH Foundations, as well as new board members for 2002.
