TORRANCE, CA On Monday, May 1st, the Little Company of Mary Hospital Foundation Golf Classic celebrates its 20th anniversary with two tournaments on two of the finest golf courses in Southern California.
The 3rd annual Pro-Am Classic will be held at the Palos Verdes Golf Club. As the premier Pro-Am event in the South Bay, the tournament will feature approximately 20 professional golfers playing side-by-side with amateurs.
This is a great opportunity for weekend golfers to play with the best of them and to learn a few tips on how to improve their game, said Jim Hall, co-chairman of the Golf Classic.
Also on the same day, the tournament that started it all the 20th annual Golf Invitational -- will be held at the Rolling Hills Country Club. This modified scramble event sells out every year.
All proceeds from the Golf Classic will support community outreach programs provided by Little Company of Mary Hospital.
Both tournaments include full use of the clubs facilities, lunch and tee prizes. After a day of golf, all the players and their guests then will meet at the Rolling Hills Country Club for a cocktail party, dinner and awards ceremony.
The player fee for the Pro Am is $2,500 for a three-person team (each team includes a professional as the fourth player). The fee for the modified scramble is $1,400 for a four-person team. Individuals can enter the scramble for $350 each and be matched up with other players if they wish.
